Alteration Price List 2024

This is a guide to common alteration for bridal gowns. Prices are based on the average construction for manufactured gowns. A more accurate quote can be given at your first fitting.

 

Hem

Based on a front hem lift and tapered into the side seams and train.

Slim hem, A line, Fishtail, with netting and lining and horse hair braid bagged out hem from £100

       With lace overlay with scalloped edge £130-£180

 

Standard A line plain satin with netting and lining layers from £120

        With lace overlay and scalloped edge from £180-230

Ballgown skirts, lots of layers and petticoats from £140-240

Layered Hems chiffon and organza tulle from £140

         Organza or tulle with Horsehair braid as decorative finish from £160

Lace edges bigger than 10cm will be charged accordingly as more time consuming

 

Bodice

Plain Side seam taking in and letting out from £50

Side seams with lace and beadwork from £80

Lifting shoulders from £40

Lifting shoulders and re setting sleeve and possible dart adjustment on armhole from £80

Shoe string straps from £30

Re shape armhole without sleeve from £40

        With Sleeve from £55

Re shape necklines from £45

Bust cups and filling from £20

Making new back panel for corset back £40

Adding sleeves from £50-100 depending on style and fabrics 

Detachable straps with press stud from £50 depending on style and fabrics

 

Skirts

Plain seams taking in or letting out on a side seam over hips with lining from £60

Lace and embellished side seam from £85

Fitted fishtail skirt adjustments over hips and bottom on side back panels from £30.00

Sew on bridal belt or trim from £30

Shorten or re shape train from £50-£100

Single bustle loops for lifting train from £15.00

       Triple bustle if large train from £30

 

 

 

Bridesmaid’s dresses

 

Standard hem in chiffon/ Georgette fabric I layer and lining from £35.00

Standard side seam take in or let out from £40-£80 

Standard shoulder lift from £30
